Worshipping God involves learning more about Him and having a personal relationship with Him. It involves our feelings about God and sharing those feelings with Him.

It is good to meet together and worship God in one place. When we do this we need to ensure that there is something for everyone in the service. From time to time these services may focus mainly on special groups within the church, such as our children. 

Suggested Program for a Children's Church Worship Service

1. An interesting introduction that starts children thinking about the theme for the day
   
   
2. Song service
   
   
3. Icebreaker that involves children
   
   
4. Fun drama that keeps children thinking on the theme
   
   
5. 3-4 segments that illustrate your point. Use drama, mime, music, puppets, raps, videos, shadow plays, sketch and tells, clowning, experiments, object lessons, nature gems etc
   
   
6. Conclude with something powerful that leads the children to a decision point
   
   
7. "High Fives" with the team on the way out (this is important for building relationships)
   
   
8. A "give-away" that will remind them of the lesson

1. Children's items for 10 minutes as an introduction before the service begins

4. Prayer - presented in a creative way eg. responsive prayer or sentence prayer by family
   
   
5. Offering - collected by an adult and child and announced by a child or family
   
   
6. Scripture reading
   
   
7. Sermonettes - stories that illustrate your theme work well. Try using different ways to present each one eg. a story to tell, a drama, an object lesson, puppets, video, an interactive story, a mini sermon presented by a child
   
   
8. Closing music
   
   
9. Benediction
   
   
10. A "give-away" to remind people of the lesson
