Alawara Retirement Village

Alawara is quietly tucked away in the village-like atmosphere of High Street, Golden Square and is very conveniently located near public transport, banks, shops and schools.

Accommodation

• 18 rental units. Each unit has a kitchen/living area, separated by a divider and a separate bedroom, laundry and toilet. These units are large enough to comfortably accommodate a couple.
• Five resident funded units. Four units have 2 bedrooms, with one unit having one large bedroom. Each unit has an attached garage and an enclosed courtyard at the rear.
• Low care residential hostel. Comfortable rooms with pleasant décor and an en-suite for your convenience. The building is modern and well designed, giving residents peace of mind that as they age, their mobility around the village will not be restricted.

Meals

Alawara promotes healthy living through excellent vegetarian meals, but also cater for the personal needs and preferences of all residents.

Landscaped gardens with disabled access provide our residents and visitors with the opportunity to take an afternoon stroll whilst enjoying the surroundings. Vegetable & flower gardens provide a therapeutic method of relaxation for residents.

Our activity co-ordinators liaise with residents to arrange social outings and activities. We offer a number on-site activities which include:

• church services

On-site maintenance staff and chaplain are available to assist our residents when the need arises.

There is a real family atmosphere among staff and residents at Alawara.
