All churches use print as a medium of communication; however, few make it such a significant mode of communicating with its members and with members of the community as the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church has a long-term commitment to print and favours the medium as a means of influence.

Adventism grew out of a movement with a reliance on print media, developed print for its own purposes and adopted a print-heavy approach upon its arrival in Australia and New Zealand in the 1880s.

The Adventist church in the South Pacific's Signs Publishing Company produces a variety of literature to promote the cause of the church. The literature is available from Adventist Book Centres or from the Home Health Education Service.
