Mass combined Pathfinder celebrations in PNG

More than 2000 Pathfinders and church members from the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Papua New Guinea turned up at Queen Elizabeth Park in Mount Hagen as part of World Pathfinder Day celebrations last month.

According to Wako Napasu, a church member, the mass combined celebrations were the first of its kind.

“Normally such world event is celebrated in each respective Seventh-day Adventist church [in Papua New Guinea],” he says.

It was also one of the first times celebrations were held publicly in the city of Mount Hagen.

Pathfinders from Hagen Park Adventist Church, Kimininga Adventist Church, Warakum Adventist Church, Kerebulg Adventist Church and Pispond Adventist Church attended the celebrations.

Pathfinders is an initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that provides activities for young people.
