So Good and Light 'n' Tasty go pink
Berkeley Vale, New South Wales

Looking for the perfect, healthy breakfast that is ‘So Good’ as well as ‘Light ‘n’ Tasty’?

Pink So GoodNow there’s even more reason to buy Sanitarium’s So Good, Australia’s top-selling soymilk, and the delicious cereal Light ‘n’ Tasty – both breakfast favourites are going ‘pink’ in October to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s annual Pink Ribbon Campaign.

The Pink Ribbon Campaign, Australia’s biggest fundraising activity for breast cancer research, engages the community by encouraging them to purchase a pink ribbon, host a breakfast, buy ‘pink’ products and attend a special event supporting the ‘pink’ theme to raise funds for research into preventing and curing breast cancer.

Pink Light n TastyIn addition to going ‘pink’, So Good and Light ‘n’ Tasty are contributing $100,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, taking Sanitarium’s total contribution over the past few years to $400,000. Sanitarium is the major sponsor of the Pink Ribbon Breakfasts, donating So Good and Light ‘n’ Tasty to the 5,000 goodie kits that will be distributed to volunteer breakfast hosts.

So Good ambassador and swimming legend Susie O’Neill, an Ambassador for the Pink Ribbon Breakfast project, said her husband and father are doctors so she has an inside knowledge of the impact of breast cancer.

“Every year in Australia 13 000 women and 100 men are diagnosed with breast cancer.  Of these women, 2,600 tragically lose their lives to the disease - this makes it the most common cancer among women.  Not only does it impact on sufferers but also family and friends, so the reach of breast cancer among our community is significant.”

The Pink Ribbon embodies the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s aim of funding research for prevention and a cure. It also represents the steps Australia has taken towards quality research, resulting in increased survival rates and improved quality of life in the face of increased incidence of breast cancer.
