This time together will empower you to share hope through literature in your community. \n\nBonus: Youth Rush leaders training\n\nWe are committed to investment in young people as potential leaders for the future and invite interested young people to join the bonus Youth Rush training for our arising leaders. This event will precede Summit\, running from Sunday September 29 to lunchtime on Tuesday October 1st. Be sure to stay on for LE Summit to be part of the big picture with other young people and LEs. \nVisitors are welcome to join us for both Sabbath programs on October 5. \nThe morning program is at Warburton Church\, celebrating 175 years of literature ministry and seeing God’s leading through Literature Ministry over the years. We have inspiring news and testimonies to share from right across the SPD—from Australia to Tuvalu\, New Zealand to Cook Islands\, Tonga to New Caledonia.” \nMusic is always a popular part of #weRtheCHURCH and this year’s program will be no exception\, according to Mrs Bridcutt. “The PAU choir with their amazing harmonies will be performing several songs—their music will be a real highlight\,” she said. \n“It’s going to be an uplifting program full of good news stories—you won’t want to miss it!” \nThe inspiration for this year’s program comes from the 2024 theme of the Papua New Guinea Union Mission: “I Will Go and Celebrate His Goodness”. \nNow in its fourth year\, #weRtheCHURCH continues to unite the SPD church family for a time of worship and prayer\, inspirational stories and special music. The program will be hosted by SPD president Pastor Glenn Townend and PAU students Mele Kauvaka and Gary Iga. \nDue to the various time zones across the South Pacific\, the program will be screened twice: at 5pm and 7pm (AEST). Before each program\, an episode of The Rescue children’s show will be screened. SUMMARY:Women in Pastoral Ministry Scholarship 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Australian Union Conference (AUC) has established a Women in Pastoral Ministry (WiPM) Scholarship Fund which seeks to provide financial assistance to female ministry and theology students enrolled at Avondale University & Mamarapha College. The scholarship has been established to affirm and encourage women to undertake theological training allowing them to be equipped for pastoral ministry in the local church. \nA limited number of scholarships are available for up to 4 years of full-time equivalent study for the Bachelor of Ministry and Theology Degree (BMinTh)\, up to 4 years of study for the Advanced Diploma of Indigenous Pastoral Ministry (AdvDipIPM) and up to 2 years of full-time equivalent study for the Master of Ministry and Theology (MMin) students. Applications can be made at any stage of their studies at Avondale University or Mamarapha College\, however\, scholarships will not be retrospectively applied to completed units. There will be a pro-rata reduction in funding if the student enrols in less than a full-time program of study. Successful applicants will be paired with a mentor who will meet with them (Via Zoom and/or in person) at least twice per year to support and encourage them in their preparation for pastoral ministry. We encourage applicants who meet the criteria below to complete the attached form. \nThe value of each scholarship is worth up to $14\,000* for BMinTh\, $7\,000* for the MMIn and $4\,000 for AdvDipIPM (as reviewed from time to time). \n*If successful\, AUC WIPM Scholarship recipients enrolled at Avondale University will receive funding from the SPD WIM Scholarship to top up the scholarship to the percentage stated above.
