Preparations are underway for the EnditNow Emphasis Day and Rally on August 23 of this year. The global initiative to end violence against women, men, and children is inviting churches across Australia to join in a united stand to raise awareness, provide support, and take action.

There are plans for Greater Sydney and Victorian Conference to host their own rally’s led by Women’s and Family Ministry leaders on August 23 following the annual online summit on August 22.

The Seventh-day Adventist church women’s ministry department has released a suite of new resources including referral lists, flow charts, a church self-assessment guide and the EnditNow booklet for Pastors, Church Staff and Volunteers including a teen and school edition designed for chaplains, guidance counsellors and teachers.

There are also plans for an EnditNow Australia website that will host resources related to domestic violence awareness and provide more information about upcoming events. The website will be launched in August 2025.

“As Adventists, we are called to speak up for the voiceless and protect those who are vulnerable,” says Sylvia Mendez, Director of Adventist Women’s Ministries in Australia. “enditnow® is more than an annual event — it’s a movement. We’re calling on every local church to join us in creating safe spaces, both within and beyond our walls.”

Churches, leaders, and communities are invited to attend and promote EnditNow Rally Day. If you would like to learn more about EnditNow or access any of the free resources available visit enditnowaustralia.org.au
