Graeme Drinkall has been elected as the chief financial officer of the Australian Union Conference (AUC) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The appointment was made during the AUC constituency meeting earlier today.

Mr Drinkall currently serves as CFO at the Western Australian Conference. He replaces Peter Cameron, who has served as AUC CFO since 2000. Mr Cameron will retire after serving the Church in various financial roles for over 40 years.

Mr Drinkall has worked for the Church in financial roles for more than 35 years in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands as well as Union secretary at the New Zealand Pacific Union Conference.

“I’m a big fan of funding strategic mission,” he said. “We want to make sure that we focus the dollars we have as much as we can on strategy. I’m really looking forward to working with the [AUC] team and adding value where I can.”

Mr Drinkall is married to Felicity, and they have three daughters.
