About Womens Ministry

The vision of Adventist Women’s Ministries is to know Jesus passionately and to serve and disciple other women. We are committed to encouraging, challenging, equipping and nurturing Seventh-day Adventist women as they do their part in carrying the Gospel message to the world.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia believes that every woman has God-given potential and we want to empower them, encourage them and equip them to confidently share their faith in whichever context they find themselves in.

Our mission is in the larger sense to all Christiansthat of uplifting Christ in the Church and in the world. But more specifically, we are called to:

  • NurtureReach Up to God
  • EmpowerReach Across with God
  • OutreachReach Out with God

International Womens Day Of Prayer

The International Women’s Day of Prayer, is a special occasion observed on the first Sabbath of each March. It is a time when women come together to nurture and deepen their spiritual connections through prayer. On this significant day, women have a unique opportunity to strengthen their bonds, lifting their voices in collective prayer for one another and the world around them. Join us as we unite in faith, supporting and uplifting one another through the power of prayer on the International Women’s Day of Prayer.

enditnow®

Enditnow® Emphasis Day is on the world church’s Calendar of Days and Events and falls on the fourth Sabbath of August. General Conference Women’s Ministries (GCWM) coordinates the production and distribution of the enditnow® Emphasis Day resource packets with contributions from six additional co-sponsoring departments of the General Conference: Children’s Ministries, Education, Family Ministries, Health Ministries, Ministerial Association, and Youth Ministries.

Womens Ministry Emphasis Day

Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day, is a significant celebration that takes place on the second Sabbath of each June. This special day grants women the platform to take a leading role in a worship service, showcasing their unique gifts and talents. It also serves as a valuable opportunity to educate the church about the meaningful purposes and objectives of Women’s Ministries. We invite you to join us as we come together to uplift women, recognising their vital contributions to the church and society on Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day.
